When I was 15 my friends and I took a boat for a week and lived on the sandbars. We went through this lock and almost made it all the way to Minnesota.

We took Grandma with us over to Gary and Pam's trailer at Guttenburg IA, on the Mississippi River. It was a nice cool day and Mom was glad to get over and see their new trailer.

Grandma is 95 years old and going strong. She is still playing bridge twice a week and loves shopping.
