Saturday 7-24 Washington DC

Air Force Memorial - great view of Washington at night from here, our last stop of the day 9PM.
Washington Monument from Lincoln Memorial. We also saw the WWII, Viet Nam, Korean War, and the Holocaust Museum - very moving.
Troop 1613 at the Korean War Memorial

Cooking at the Washington Monument - way too hot to be in the sun. Just came from the AC at the Holocaust Museum.
National Statuary Hall in Capital Building, cool ceiling
Statue of Sam Houston - small version for you folks from Huntsville
Looking up at Capitol Dome
Finally inside and air conditioned! There were thousands of scouts from all over the country there too. We had a guided tour and eat lunch in the congressional cafe. Big $$ if not careful.
Still inside capitol enjoying the AC
Troops from Wisconsin - north of Milwaukee
Troop 1613 at Capitol Building Saturday morning - West face of Capitol where the presidents are sworn in.
Hanging in the shade of the Capitol - still not too hot. Later in the day it was 109 F with the humidity factored in .
Waiting at Capitol Building West side
Tucker and Grandpa on west face of Capitol. Just getting warm
The "Bob" at Capitol
Walking around Capitol
Just in case you were worried that the guys were not getting enough to eat! This is breakfast
